Malignant mesothelioma is a rare and quick acting growth where no helpful treatment has been discovered despite the discovery of several potential molecular targets. The late stages of Malignant pleural mesothelioma diagnosis and the period of time that exists between contacts and diagnosis have made it hard to fully study what risk factors do and the insuing molecular effects.

Many hospitals are witnessing increasing numbers of people that have malignant mesothelioma. This presents pathologists involved in making the diagnosis with a number of problems, which can be broken up into those exposed in finding the differences between cancer of the mesothelium and harmless changes and those experienced in setting apart mesotheliomas from different types of epithelial and connecting tissue tumors. IHC is a major factor in diagnosing, but it should be interpreted with regards to the experimental setting and radiological characteristics, and understanding the extensive morphological variations that exist in mesothelioma.

Cancer of the mesothelium is a primary cancer of the serosal cavities, an anatomical area that is often affected by metastasis, largely from primary carcinomas of the ovary, lung and breast. Advances in IHC have caused an improved diagnostic sensitivity and between metastatic adenocarcinoma and {malignant mesothelioma in both cytological and histological material. Lately, the authors group applied high throughput technology to the classification of new markers that may aid in telling the difference between cancer of the mesothelium from ovarian and peritoneal cancer, closely related histogenesis found in tumors and antigenic profile. Together with the improved medical devices obtainable for cancer of the serosa diagnosis, knowing the biology of mesothelioma has been accruing in recent years.

Politicians know this and have used the media to either bolster their image or ruin others. A little TV appearance and a short interview with a media icon can be decisive or destructive. With the advances in information technology, media has become more powerful than it was before. If media is properly and fully utilized, regardless of what medium is used — TV, radio, Internet or the papers, a speech can go a long way, and these media appearances can cover the world. Case in point: The Gore-Bush Presidential Elections of 2000. Al Gore was leading. Every news channel projected him to be the winner. A simple news tip though, proved to be the pivotal point. Fox News received unofficial word that Florida voted for Bush. Due to the fact that Fox is widely considered a respectable media company, other big news channels like CNN followed suit. This led to Al Gore’s defeat in Florida, and consequently the candidate lost the presidential race. Such example illustrated how the media can persuade and dissuade people. Obama, like the majority of politicians nowadays, uses the media to showcase that his victory will be a victory for the non-Caucasian sector in the United States, as well as a milestone in political history, as he could be the first black president. Such sentiments elicit hope from non-Caucasian voters, especially blacks. Through the heavy use of media, this notion of hope and fresh politics is amplified.Jamie Gorelick has an article entitled “Another Blow to Justice” in the Business Politics site.
